ancient rock, into deep gorges, where steelhead and king salmon return to
spawn in the autumn, swimming holes provide picnic venues and family fun
in summer, and serious river runners ride the wild white water in stout
kayaks and rubber rafts. Towering redwoods stretch silently skyward like
the colossal columns of a natural cathedral; peaceful, timeless,
inspiring. Shimmering lagoons and low grassy marshes are home to Egrets
and Great Blue Heron.
