A California native, born in San Francisco, and longtime resident of Humboldt County, Frankie grew up in the woods of Trinity County and along the beautiful coastline of northern California. She attended College of the Redwoods and studied agriculture and accounting, and built her home and life in McKinleyville where she and her husband Lou raised their son James. After many years in the service industry, Frankie obtained her real estate license and joined her husband in real estate and property management at California Lifestyles Realty.

	Austin moved to Humboldt County via New York and Los Angeles in 1969 to attend Humboldt State University. An early fascination with the natural beauty of the north coast became an abiding love and appreciation of the land and people of Northern California.
